✻ Julia Magdalene Rómas (PL/GER - *b. 1994) is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, and educator based in Berlin. She studied Design and Photography at the Peter Behrens School of Arts in Düsseldorf, earning her Bachelor’s degree, and completed a Master of Fine Arts in Hamburg at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste. Her practice moves fluidly between visual art, performance, music, and writing.
Her work explores the construction and deconstruction of identity within the tension between nature and urban life. By weaving together abstract and figurative languages, she creates poetic dialogues between dream and reality, mythology and contemporary experience. Rómas often works collaboratively, drawing on practices of storytelling, embodied movement, and improvisation.
Her projects have been presented in galleries and cultural institutions across Germany, including the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg (Learning from Loheland, 2023) and the Brücke Museum Berlin. As a musician, she has released two albums, Spider Hug (2022) and Porcelain Bones (2024), blending intimate songwriting with experimental soundscapes.
Alongside her artistic practice, Julia Romas teaches fine art and art history in Berlin and continues to expand her research into holistic healing, psychology, and somatic practices.

✻ JULIA ROMAS (DE/PL, 1994*) works as interdisciplinary artist, educator and as healing arts practitioner. She is teaching fine arts in theory & practice and is educating in intermedia art therapy and bodywork.
Her work weaves together painting, drawing, music, sculpture, performance, sound, and text—intuitively as well as conceptually—to explore intersections between reality and utopia, nature and urbanity, the individual and society. A key focus lies in imaginative and symbolically charged spaces—those of belief, myth, and the transcendent. By combining abstract visual language with figurative elements, Julia creates intermedial experiential spaces that reflect interpersonal relationships, collective desires, cultural narratives, and existential questions. Her works open poetic dialogues between dream and reality, between external environments and inner landscapes.
